The Faculty of Agriculture at Süleyman Demirel University started education on October 3, 1994 in the Atabey District 25 km northeast of the city of Isparta and the education started in the Horticultural Sciences and Food Engineering Departments with registration of 30 students to each department in the academic year of 1994?1995. Faculty of Agriculture awarded the first graduates in the academic year of 1997-1998. The Agricultural Faculty moved to the main campus of Süleyman Demirel University (SDU)in the academic year of 2000?2001. Faculty of Agriculture is composed of nine departments including Horticultural Sciences, Plant Protection, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Structures and Irrigation, Agricultural Mechanization, Field Crops, Soil Science, Animal Science and Agricultural Biotechnology. As of 2009-2010 academic year, a total of 824 students continue their education in these departments.

One educational year is consist of Fall and Spring semesters each containing at least seventy tree working days excluding the official holidays and midterm and final examination days.
To have high school diploma and to be successful in the centralize examination conducted by Turkish Higher Education Council Student Selection and Placement Center and earn the right to be a student in Departments of the Faculty of Agriculture at Süleyman Demirel University.
Registired Perssonel State
Candidates successfully passing the centralize examination conducted by Turkish Higher Education Council Student Selection and Placement Center and earn the right to be a student the Faculties and Vocational Schools of Süleyman Demirel University has to register with documents determined by the Rectorate within the time period declared by Rectorate. Candidates who are not registered during announced registration period will lose the right to register and student completing the final registration during the registration period are given student identification card.
To complete successfully required and elective courses (130 ± 10 credits) distributed on eight semesters, the practical training and graduation thesis offered by each department.
ECTS structure of Faculty of Agriculture consist of 30 ECTS credits for each semester. The workload of four-year undergraduate education is equal to 240 ECTS credits. Academic programs of the Faculty of Agriculture were restructured in 2010 and education currently continues only with the first and second year students. The third and fourth year program will be updated later.
At the beginning of the each Educational year an advisor is appointed by the Department Chairs among the faculty member or among the teaching assistants when necessary to guide and help to resolve students? academic problems.
