General Information : Physics Department of Suleyman Demirel Universty was established in 1992.  
Qualification Awarded : After successful completion of the program, students will be awarded Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.  
Level of Qualification : First Cycle (Bachelor?s Degree).This is a first cycle degree program in Physics (240 ECTS).

 
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, who wish to enroll in this program, must comply with the legal and academic requirements which are established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council) regulations. Admission and registration requirements are described in the Süleyman Demirel University Student Affairs Office?s web page in details in Turkish Language (http://oidb.sdu.edu.tr/index.php?dosya=orta&tur=2 ).

The foreign students, who wish to benefit from a student exchange program such as Erasmus Program, should contact with the International Relation Office of Süleyman Demirel University to get more information on the admission and registration process (http://disiliskiler.sdu.edu.tr/index_en.php ).
 
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : Students who accepted via horizontal or vertical transition system an adaptation program is applied.

 
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : To train modern physicists who are equipped with broad background knowledge of sub fields of physics, who have the ability to refresh their knowledge continuously, who have the skills of problem-solving in their study fields theoretically or experimentally, who have the necessary social skills for working in a research team, who are willing to follow the technological developments and who are interested in the contemporary issues of the century.

Access to Further Studies : Upon a successful completion of the program, student may continue with MSci study in the same or similar scientific areas, which accept students from Physics Department.  
Aims Of Programme : To prepare the undergraduate students for graduate study in physics or in another scientific/technical field related to physics. To prepare the undergraduate students for future research careers in physics. To develop students? teaching ability for enabling them to get a teacher position in secondary education institutions and private courses.

Program Learning Outcomes
1 Have enough background about the principles and foundations of physics and the other related fields of science, have the skill of using theoretical and applied knowledge for the problem solutions in the field.
2 Design an experiment and perform it, to analyze the data and to have the skill of interpret it
3 Be competent user of basic software such as word processing, spreadsheet and graphing programs, to have the skill of using the information technology effectively
4 Know one common foreign language to follow the scientific developments on his/her field
5 İdentify the necessary aspects of a problem and develop a strategy for solving the problem, to have consciousness of the necessity of the life time learning and ability of ones? continuous self renewal
6 Demonstrate the ability to make oral and written communication
7 Have effective working ability both as an individual and as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, self-esteem on taking responsibility
8 Have the consciousness of occupational and ethical responsibility
9 Have the knowledge about the problems of the century, to evaluate the universal and social influences of the solutions and applications offered by physics
