General Information : The students who complete the deparment of Graphic Design, Bachelor of Fine Arts Program and who are accepted to the graduate degree program specialize on the areas like design and production with the help of theoretical and practical lessons based on interdisciplinary programs.The graduate program of Department of Graphic Design is for anyone who seeks to widen his/her vision from in other disciplines.  
Qualification Awarded : Graphic Design MA  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master's Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).Successful students graduate from the faculty by getting an MA (Master of Arts) in "Graphic Design Major".

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : Conducting projects with the cooperation of higher institutions and private enterprises. Sharpening vocational skills considering the needs of the labor market. Improving the talents and skills of vocational instructors and assistants. Vocational education and training systems and practices to improve their quality and attractiveness.  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : Graphic Department graduated program is for anyone who seeks to widen his/her vision in other disciplines.

Access to Further Studies : Students who have successfully completed a post-graduate program in Graphic Design Major can apply to the programs of Proficiency in Art and PhD.  
Aims Of Programme : Graphic discipline that questions its definition again was reformed internalizing the terms like art and design, and now it is an interdisciplinary form. With its contemporary education program, Graphic Design Department aims to guide creative designers who have good academic knowledge and who can make use of that knowledge efficiently.  
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : While accepting student to the graduate school; 50 percent of grade taken on the exam, which measures academic knowledge in the specific field; 30 percent of the grade taken on the practical exam; 15 percent of the grade taken on the interview; 5 percent of the grade taken on the language proficiency exam are added up to find the final grade, then students are accepted on the basis of this grade begining from the highest. Graduation Requirements : In the first place, students have to take mid-term exam and final exam in order to obtain the right for graduation and complete the educational program in which they are included. In addition, every student is obliged to write up a thesis and make an application on a topic to be determined by the student and adviser and report/defend it with a visual or verbal presentation. Those who do not complete their thesis at the time determined or who have but not been found 'successful' can not obtain the right for graduation. Mode of Study (full-time, part-time, e-learning etc.) : Theoritical and practical.  

Program Learning Outcomes
1 To have necessary methods and skills for representation in interdisciplinary environments and to be able to implement these methods and skills. To be able to produce interdisciplinar project designs.
2 To transfer his/her creativeness and imagination on his/her design by means of technology.
3 To be able to update his/her scientific and artistic specialities in order to realize the lifelong learning processes.
4 To have academic and professional ethical responsibility.
5 To implement the design or the matter investigated to provide all the necessary theoretical knowledge and computer programs to know, use and be able to follow innovations in this regard.
6 To have detaily information about basic principles of graphic desing and to be able to practise the gained skills in the works of his/her desings.
7 Having a creative and critical thinking skill to be able to evaluate the effects of related topics on universal and social dimensions.
8 To develop unique plans and personal vision about strategy, policy and application related to graphic desing and to evaluate the obtained results in the quality processes.
9 To participate both integrated and individual national and international activities aimed at discipline.
10 To have ethic responsibility about the awareness of social equality which appreciate social rights.
11 Transfer his/her ideas related to his/her imagination on his/her individual designs at the same time to have an effective communication skill for reaching target groups.
12 To analyze artistic concept and thinking, to interpret the data's and to evaluate with a critical approach.
13 To produce an individual research project.
