General Information : The Master Programme of Health Management program of the Institute of Social Sciences aims to provide the necessary education to the student to gain abilities to fulfil the executive, expert and researcher needs of private and public sectors in changing national and international competitive environment. The Master Programme of Health Management program provide graduate education opportunity to both business administration undergraduate diploma holders, and other undergraduate degree holders.  
Qualification Awarded : Students will be awarded a Master of Health Management Degree upon successfully completing the program and achieving core competencies  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree). This program is second cycle degree program in the science Health Management (120 ECTS). Master of Science title would be taken when the program completed succesfully meanwhile maintaned programme proficiency.  
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, willing to enrol in this graduate programme, must comply with the legal and academic requirements to access the studies in The Suleyman Demirel University according to the process established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council) regulations. The detail information about the application (once or sometimes twice a year) and access requirements are released before academic year starts on its web site (http://sosyalbilimler.sdu.edu.tr/ENGLISH/). Students who have started studies in other universities within or outside of the country may apply for their recognition. The recognition record is unique for each student and therefore the procedure is carried out accordingly before the start of each academic year. Under an established exchanges program or one approved by the University, exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enrol in any courses, running in Turkish, shown on the Course Structure diagram. For example, Erasmus students from abroad want to spend one term or two terms in a graduate programme at Süleyman Demirel University should apply to International Relation Office. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : Transfer of a student, who is registered and successfully completed at least one semester as a graduate student in different programs of the graduate school or in graduate schools of other higher education institutions, will be accepted to the graduate programs based on the announced transfer students quota. In order to transfer, students are subject to fulfil acceptance criteria for the program, to pass the courses that s/he takes in her/his previous graduate program with minimum marks of 70 for M.B.A. and 75 for Ph.D. degrees out of 100. Transfer can be only made at the beginning of the term during the course selection period. The prerequisite courses will be determined by the IBA by consulting the HOD. Transfers to the Graduate School of Fine Arts will be accepted by the Senate.  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : Work in administrative positions, particularly for health care organizations, includinghealthcare management knowledge and skills related to the structure and functioning of the health system has, following the developments related to the profession, the institution can reflect the self - renewal and innovation works to educate individuals with professionalconsciousness.  
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : The graduates of the Department of Health Management alırlar title of Science Expert.Graduates of this section, public and university hospitals, private hospitals and the public,private and third sector can be employed in a variety of health and insurance organizations.In today's health care management in different areas of social life, trained, skilled human resources are needed. I have a very limited number of Turkey, the health managementdepartment graduates are very far from meeting the demand. Most of the public sector and private sector agencies and voluntary organizations need individuals who have receivedthis training.  
Access to Further Studies : Upon a successful completion of the programme, student may continue with doctoral study in the same or similar scientific areas, which may accept students from the science of Business Administration.  
Aims Of Programme : The purpose of the Health Management program, located within the public or the privatesector Hospitals and health facilities needed to work the middle and upper levels, thecountry's overall health policy, public and private health sector and the problems ofeconomic and administrative structure, properties, Hospitals and other Health CareOrganizations and the Functioning of knowledge of the health professional is to educatemanagers.

Graduation Requirements : In order to gain the degree, the student is required to have minimum 48 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course programme) and successfully completed them. Besides student must perapare at least one seminar work in specific topic which will his/her on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. Then, the student should prepare a thesis after caring out a research on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. On a successful submission of thesis, student is required to give a successful oral examination on his/her work.

To understand the structure of hospitals and other health organizations, to analyze and plan at organizational level
To analyze, understand and imply the basic managerial functions such as planning, organization, coordination, conduct and control in health organizations
To have knowledge and ability to analyze and assess the technical, financial, administrative, legal and medical process of health institutions
To understand the health planning and politics, basic components of health systems in Turkey and the world; to learn actors that lead the health sector, to assess economical and financial dimensions of the health sector, to compare different health systems
To have knowledge about medical terminology, occupational health and safety, environmental health, public health, epidemiology etc
To keep up to date about health management, to evaluate the social transformation, to renew knowledge of his/her profession and to reach self-development
To have leadership specifications, to be able to communicate with other health professionals and work in a team
To have analytical thinking, to adapt modern methods and technologies of the managership for health organizations especially information technologies
