General Information : Master of Science program of Department of Industrial Engineering, as a part of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, is started in Spring semester of 2006-2007. There are 3 faculty members.  
Qualification Awarded : Industrial Engineer, M.Sc.  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).This is a second cycle degree program in engineering, Industrial Engineering (120 ECTS). The candidate (student) will be awarded, on successful completion of the programme and gain competencies, a degree of Master in Industrial Engineering.  
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, willing to enroll in this graduate programme, must comply with the legal and academic requirements to access the studies in Suleyman Demirel University according to the process established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council of Turkey) regulations. The detail information about the application (once or sometimes twice a year) and access requirements are released before academic year starts on its web site (fenbilimleri.sdu.edu.tr). Students who have started studies in other universities within or outside of the country may apply for their recognition. The recognition record is unique for each student and therefore the procedure is carried out accordingly before the start of each academic year. Under an established exchanges program or one approved by the University, exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enroll in any courses, running in Turkish, shown on the ?Course Structure? diagram. For example, Erasmus students from abroad want to spend one term or two terms in a graduate programme at Suleyman Demirel University should apply to International Relations Office. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) :  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : 1. To provide students with skills necessary to reach knowledge by doing research, and to evaluate, infer, and implement this knowledge via expanding and deepening the knowledge in industrial engineering or in a different area. 2. To provide students with skills to design solutions to industrial engineering problems on their own, improve a solution method, solve, implement and evaluate results when needed. 3. To improve students´ skills to apply modern tools and techniques necessary to solve problems. 4. To improve students´ skills to work efficiently in multi-disciplinary teams as well as communication skills. 5. To provide students with skills in solving industrial engineering problems by implementing new approaches, and taking responsibility when they run up against complex and unforeseen hurdles in applications.  
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : Man, machines and materials in all systems where problems can become problems by using analytical and intuitive methods are trying to solve. For example, factories, banks, hospitals, etc.  
Access to Further Studies : Opportunities are available to graduate education in various disciplines.  
Aims Of Programme : To prepare and encourage students to pursue careers in production or service systems and academic areas by providing them knowledge, opportunity and educational experiences necessary for production or service systems applications compatible with engineering applications and research opportunities.

Graduation Requirements : Total of 120 ECTS credits must be completed in courses, seminars and a thesis successfully.

Program Learning Outcomes
1 Ability to formulate and solve engineering problems by using mathematics, occupational knowledge and scientific methods.
2 Ability to implement knowledge related to modern techniques and methods applied in engineering.
3 Ability to design and apply analytical modeling and experimental based research, to analyze and interpret the complex issues.
4 Ability to develop solution approaches in multi-disciplinary teams and to take responsibilities.
5 Ability to respect scientific and professional ethical values during collection, statistical analyzing and interpretation of data.
6 Awareness of new and developing applications of profession and ability to learn these applications by analyzing.
7 Ability to fit social environment by interpreting social and environmental dimensions of engineering applications.
8 Systematic and clear verbal or written transfer of the process and results of studies at national and international environments.
