General Information : Educational Sciences Department offers a Master of Science degree in the field of Educational Technologies. The primary aim of this graduate program is to explore the potential role of information and communication technology in the process of enhancing teaching and learning and to train scientists and experienced teachers in this area. The faculty has broad range of research interests and the program promises professional, productive, and enjoyable learning experience to prospective students.  
Qualification Awarded : This is a second cycle degree program in the science of Educational Technology (120 ECTS). Students will be awarded, on successful completion of the program and gain competencies, a degree of Master in Educational Technology.  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).Master of Science in Educational Technologies  
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, willing to enroll in this graduate program, must have an undergraduate degree from any department of Faculty of Education. Students must take the Selection Examination for Academic Personnel and Graduate Studies (ALES) and the foreign language tests administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) and receive a minimum standard score accepted by Institute of Natural Sciences. Also the students are required to have interviews with the selection committee of the program. Under an established exchanges program (i.e. Erasmus), exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English.  
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : The students who would like to come from the same departments of other Turkish universities can be accepted for the same level of education.  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : Educational Technologies Master's Program aims to train educators who can entegrate current technologies into schools to enhance teaching and student learning, communicate with others via the range of technologies, design and develop multimedia and web-based instructional products, use technologies to serve the needs of diverse students, apply technology leadership skills in the schools, and research the potantials of technology use in educational settings.  
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : Upon a successful completion of the programme, student may continue with doctoral study in the same or similar scientific areas, which may accept students from the science of Educational Technologies  
Access to Further Studies : Upon a successful completion of the program, students may continue with doctoral study in the same or similar areas, which may accept students from the science of Educational Technology.  
Aims Of Programme : The main purpose of the program is to educate scientists who investigate the roles of and integrates modern information and communication technologies in the learning and teaching process to increase the efficiency and effectiveness. The program provides students to have the skills and knowledge on topics such as integrating instructional technologies, designing and developing constructivist and technology supported learning environments, application of hypermedia and multimedia in education, distance education, e-learning, human-computer interaction, or the social and cultural implications of technology. Also, the program provides new career opportunities for those who are working on K-12 school settings or corporate settings as consultants to increase their skills and knowledge. The program aims to prepare the graduates for the rapidly changing and globalizing world by equipping them with required technological and pedagogical skills and knowledge.

Graduation Requirements : In order to gain the degree, the students are required to have minimum of 60 ECTS credits lectures and successfully complete them. Then, the students should prepare a thesis with 60 ECTS credits weight and give a successful oral examination on his/her work to the thesis jury.

1 Have adequate knowledge about the foundational concepts, theoretical basis and contemporary approaches in the field of educational technology.
2 Have the knowledge of current educational technologies that can be integrated into the teaching and learning processes
3 Have the skills to apply educational technologies to enhance learning and teaching practices.
4 Have the skills and knowledge to develop and implement strategies to resolve possible problems related to classroom management in technology-supported environments.
5 Have the skills and knowledge to design and implement specific e-learning environments which can better meet the diverse needs and expectations of students.
6 Have the skills and knowledge of multimedia software programs to design and develop interactive educational applications including visual and auditory materials.
7 Have the knowledge of theories and practices in distance education.
8 Have the skills and knowledge to explore, use and evaluate online resources in order to enhance learning and teaching.
9 Have the skills and knowledge to develop and implement appropriate assessment tools and techniques to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of e-learning environments.
10 Have the skills and knowledge to identify a research problem, apply an appropriate research design, collect and analyze data in the field of educational technology.
