General Information : Division of Energy Systems Engineering, Suleyman Demirel University in 2011 with the Graduate School of Science and Technology was established. 12 students are studying in graduate education. There are1 Professor, 1, 5 Associate Professorand 4 AssistantProfessor in Department.  
Qualification Awarded : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)  
Level of Qualification : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Specific Admission Requirements : To register as a graduate student , the students have to be successful from the exams and fulfill the conditions desired by The Council of Higher Education (YOK) and desired in the regulations of the university. Registration conditions and admission requirements are issued on the web page of the Science Institute (w3.sdu.edu.tr) before the initiation of the semestre. Any student who initiated at an equivalent department in the country or abroad can apply. Acceptance of the students are evaluated individually taking into consideration their degree and conditions before initiation of semestre. Under an established exchanges program or one approved by the University, exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enroll in any courses, running in Turkish shown on the ?Course Structure? diagram. For example, Erasmus students from abroad want to spend one term or two terms in a graduate programme at Süleyman Demirel University should apply to International Relation Office. Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : Regulations for past learning rules are published in the web address (http://w3.sdu.edu.tr).

Profile of The Programme : 1. Specialty in chosen option in energy systems engineering.
2. Capability to solve advanced engineering problems in one of the
engineering options.
3. Having high level of literature knowledge.
4. Following new technology and development in one of the
engineering options.
5. Using high-tech computer programs and ability of coding in
engineering problems.
6. Ability to lead laboratory experimental researches.
 
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : The field of energy systems engineering can be thought of as a collection of many mechanical disciplines. Several of these subdisciplines which are typically taught at the undergraduate level are listed below:
1. In engineering offices as a design engineer,
2. In Research and Development (R&D) offices as a research engineer,
3. In food and medicine industries as a heat-processing engineer,
4. In energy related industries as an engineer who is responsible for design, operation, planning, maintenance and logistics,
5. In service industries as a service engineer
 
Access to Further Studies : Opportunities are available to graduate education in various disciplines  
Aims Of Programme : To create skilful engineers who are able to carry out scientific research works and to be better off them in advanced level, to make applications in order to attain the abilities that are gained by developing methods, materials, methods, economical and optimal designs, in a way analyzing and investigating in line to aiming effectively to use economical material and saving energy  
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : They are specified in each course. Please see the Course Structure for details.  
Graduation Requirements : In order to gain the degree, the student is required to have minimum 60 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course programme) and successfully completed them. Then, the student should prepare a thesis after caring out a research on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. On a successful submission of thesis, student is required to give a successful oral presentation on his/her work.
