General Information : Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences of SD University was established in 1993. The basic objective of the graduate school is to organize and conduct Master of Science ( MSc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) graduate programmes in Natural and Applied Sciences and in Mathematics. Within the framework of the graduate school, 36 departments exist under the 5 main groups listed below: The required period to achieve the Master's degree is four semesters. After completing and succeeding the compulsory courses, getting credits and presenting seminars, the candidates for the Master's degree can get at most two more half semesters to complete their thesis. The required period to achieve doctoral degree is eight semesters which can be decreased to six semesters at minimum. The thesis preparation period should not be less than three semesters. The candidates for Doctoral degree can get four more half semesters at most to complete their thesis. The Master's degree or Doctoral Degree are awarded to students who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum, prepared a thesis, and succeeded in thesis dissertation.  
Qualification Awarded : This is a second cycle degree program in the science of Mathematics (120 ECTS). You will be awarded, on successful completion of the programme and gain competencies, a degree of Masters in Mathematics.  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).This is a second cycle degree program in Mathematics (120 ECTS). You will be awarded, on successful completion of the programme and gain competencies, a degree of Masters in Mathematics.  
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, willing to enrol in this graduate programme, must comply with the legal and academic requirements to access the studies in The Süleyman Demirel University according to the process established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council) regulations. The detail information about the application (once or sometimes twice a year) and access requirements are released before academic year starts on its web site (www.sdu.edu.tr). Students who have started studies in other universities within or outside of the country may apply for their recognition. The recognition record is unique for each student and therefore the procedure is carried out accordingly before the start of each academic year. Under an established exchanges program or one approved by the University, exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enrol in any courses, running in Turkish. For example, Erasmus students from abroad want to spend one term or two terms in a graduate programme at Süleyman Demirel University should apply to International Relation Office.  
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : Students who accepted via horizontal and vertical transition system an adptation programme is applied.  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : The programme aims to gain skills to students for accessing information with doing scientific research, evaluating and interpreting knowledge, developing new and original ideas and methods and to prepare students who tends to academic study for doctorate.

Access to Further Studies : Upon a successful completion of the programme, student may continue with doctoral study in the same or similar scientific areas, which may accept students from the science of Mathematics.  
Aims Of Programme : Aim of the programme is bringing up students who have skills for accessing information with doing scientific research, evaluating and interpreting knowledge, developing new and original ideas and methods.

Graduation Requirements : In order to gain the degree, a student is required to take minimum 60 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course program) and to complete the courses successfully. In addition, the student should carry out a research under the supervision of a lecturer. Having followed the submission of thesis, the student is required to have a verbal examination on his/her work.
