General Information : Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences of SD University was established in 1993. The basic objective of the graduate school is to organize and conduct Master of Science ( MSc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) graduate programmes in Natural and Applied Sciences. Within the framework of the graduate school, 36 departments exist under the 5 main groups listed below: The required period to achieve the Master's degree is four semesters. After completing and succeeding the compulsory courses, getting credits and presenting seminars, the candidates for the Master's degree can get at most two more half semesters to complete their thesis. The required period to achieve doctoral degree is eight semesters which can be decreased to six semesters at minimum. The thesis preparation period should not be less than three semesters. The candidates for Doctoral degree can get four more half semesters at most to complete their thesishe Master's degree or Doctoral Degree are awarded to students who have successfully completed all courses in the curriculum, prepared a thesis, and succeeded in thesis dissertation.  
Qualification Awarded : This program is subject to the second stage with a minimum of 120 ECTS credits in the field of Chemistry Main Science in higher education degree system. Program successfully been completed and gained competencies, the program provides a bachelor's degree proficiency in the field of the Chemistry Science.  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).This is a second cycle degree program in Physics (120 ECTS)  
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, willing to enroll in this undergraduate program, must be succesful in the exam established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council). The detail information about the application (once or sometimes twice a year) and access requirements are released before academic year starts on its web site of Institute. Students who have started studies in other universities within or outside of the country may apply for their recognition. Admission of students before the beginning of the semester, each student's degree requirements and application, taking into account that according to regulations of Natural Sciences are reviewed and will be treated as special. Under an established Exchange program or one approved by the University, Exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enrol in any course, running in Turkish shown on the ?Course Structure? diagram. Students willing to come to University within this regulations should apply to International Relation Office, Erasmus Department.  
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : Students who accepted via horizontal or vertical transition system an adaptation program is applied..  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : The objective is to educate specialists who can do research in any specific issues related to chemistry resources, plan an experimental study in the laboratory, evaluate and present a report of implement experimental results and work in scientific research and development organization.  
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : Industry fields such as Medicine, plastic, textile, dye Researcher in universities and research lab. Education field.  
Access to Further Studies : Upon a successful completion of the program, student may continue with PhD study in the same or similar scientific areas, which may accept students from Physics Department.  
Aims Of Programme : The aim is to educate people, providing Suleyman Demirel University Graduate education and training requirements specified, as a specialist able to make scientific research and evaluate the results of research are capable in the departments of analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry and science physical chemistry of chemistry science.  
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : They are specified in each course, please see for the Course Structre for details.  
Graduation Requirements : In order to gain the degree, the student is required to have minimum 120 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course programme) and successfully completed them. On a completion of course step, a thesis work on a topic to be delivered by supervisor is submitted. Additionally, the student accepted her/his thesis are required to give a successful oral examination on his/her work in front of committe determined by Institute.

OP1- Provides enough knowledge on a specific area of chemistry.
OP2- Provides training in the practical skills required in a chemical laboratory including experimentation, data collection, analysis of the experimental results, and finding solution for the problems that are faced.
OP3- Provides ability to know modern tecniques, to choose and operate suitable instruments.
OP4- Provides a knowledge to serach the literature, database and the other information sources.
OP5- Provides ability to follow scientific and technological developments.
OP6- Gives ability to present a scientefic topic.
OP7- Provides knowledge on hardware and software required in chemistry.
OP8- Provides an ability of interdiciplinary work.
OP9-Gives an ability on qualitative and quantitave analysis and characterization of searched materials.
OP10- Provides knowledge on right and efficient usage of chemicals and equipment used in labratory.
OP11- Provides the ability of evaluation and present the experimental measurements and observations.
OP12-Provides the knowledge of a foreign language to follow the literature, and to make verbal and written communication.
OP13- Provides the knowledge on chemical terms,sources,rules and units.
OP14- Provides scientific ethics on data collection, evaluation and presentaion stage of results
